The 2019 Lithology Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras is a barrel sample with a deep garnet-purple color. It prances out of the glass with flashy scents of baked black berries, redcurrant jelly and warm cassis plus hints of dried Provence herbs and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, the palate bursts with juicy black fruits, supported by soft, fine-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing long with a lively lift. – LPB
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lithology Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard is more closed aromatically, yet still offers impressive red, blue, and black fruits as well as savory herbs and dried flower nuances. It too is full-bodied, with a focused, tight, straight style on the palate that warrants 4-5 years of cellaring. – JD
