From Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard. Aged 22 months in roughly 80% new French oak. Julien Fayard first started working with this site in 2014. There's a density of velvety dark fruit which wavers between red and black tones and just resonates with freshness. This is a very complete wine with a silky, satiny tannin profile, plenty of hefty structure to build grip and intensity, and fabulous nuances of mocha, and dried rose petal florals on the lasting finish. – JC
