This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the 5.2-hectare Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard in St. Helena. Aged 22 months in 80% new French oak. Kale Anderson, formerly of Pahlmeyer, handled the winemaking duties. A pleasing wine, this Cabernet exudes a lot of sweet, rapid-fire aromas of ripe black fruit and rich baking spices. It’s medium to full-bodied and meaty, with a grippy tannin structure, good weight, and a long, floral-driven finish. Subtle hints of crushed stone minerals lend nuance, along with wild herb notes of fennel. Parable is owned by Fred Eppright. – JC
