Lastly, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The G.T.O. is released only in magnums and comes from a selection from the three To Kalon parcels, with the base consisting of Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon. It had some big shoes to fill coming after The O.G. cuvée, but it doesn't miss a beat with its dense purple hue, extraordinary crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, a deep, layered mid-palate, ultra-fine tannins, flawless balance, and complex graphite, smoked tobacco, dark chocolate, and crushed stone aromatics. A brilliant, layered, multi-faceted wine that has everything, it deserves 4-5 years in the cellar and will evolve for 30-40 years. – JD
