2021 Boich Family Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 94 Points
July 2024

Winemaker Jeff Ames has been sourcing fruit from this site since 2012, so the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III marks his 10th vintage here. The exact blocks are changing because of ongoing replanting, but the 2021 is a ripe, hedonistic effort. Marked by scents of mocha, cola and black cherries, it's full-bodied, supple and perhaps a touch warm on the richly textured finish. – JC

Black currants, ripe tobacco, chocolate, and lead pencil notes, as well as ample Asian spice, all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III, a full-bodied Cabernet that's concentrated, has plenty of mid-palate depth, building, firm tannins, and a great finish. Hide bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 20-25 years or more. – JD
