From Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard. From the B block with vines roughly 25 years of age. In 2021, with a low crop load, this turned out to be just 125 cases. Open-top barrel-fermented, aged 28 months in 100% new French oak, and bottled unfiltered and unfined. Incredibly floral-driven in 2021, with currants and savoury herbs. Medium to full-bodied with perfectly integrated velvety tannins, perfumed black cherry, and fruit nuanced by cardamom and star anise. The finish brings out sweetly spiced cedarwood, hints of white pepper and dried lavender.
