2021 Amici Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Points
February 2024

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is a more restrained, focused expression of this vineyard yet it still brings beautiful depth and richness, Cassis, graphite, spring flowers, and damp earth all define the aromatics, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, polished, fine-grained tannins, and a great finish. Based on 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Cabernet Franc, give bottles 3-5 years and it too will cruise over the following two decades. – JD

Black fruits, scorched earth, spring flowers, and a terrific sense of minerality all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, a full-bodied, concentrated barrel sample that's going to reward bottle age. While most To Kalon releases are all about fruit and opulence, this has elegance, restraint, and structure. – JD
