2019 Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD
Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard
Wine Spectator 93 Points
October 2022

Broad and loamy in feel, with waves of cassis and mulled plum rolling through, while chaparral, violet and anise accents add nice range and detail along the way. Not shy in style, but has the energy to pull it off. Drink now through 2034. 250 cases made. – JM

Playing with the top wines in the vintage, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Nomad Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard has classic Dr. Crane power and richness as well as straight-up gorgeous notes of black fruits, chocolate, gravelly earth, and tobacco. Deep, rich, and uber-ripe, it stays balanced, has plenty of tannins, and one heck of a great finish. This is pure Dr. Crane goodness. Drink bottles over the coming 15-20 years. – JD

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Nomad Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane explodes with black currant cordial, fruitcake and blueberry preserves scents, plus hints of cast-iron pan, black truffles and tree bark. Fullbodied, concentrated and oh-so velvety, it has an electric line of freshness supporting the many layers of rich, hedonic fruit, finishing very long and earthy. – LPB
