2019 Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard
Wine Spectator 95 Points
October 2022

Tilts to the brooding side of the spectrum, driving the warm loam and steeped dark plum notes to the fore, backed with notes of espresso crema, singed alder, maduro tobacco and cast iron through the very dark and muscular finish. Everything is in proportion and the balance is there, but this is for fans of the powerful Cabernet style. Best from 2024 through 2040. 150 cases made. – JM

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Nomad Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard shows the darker, tobacco, herbal, and chocolaty style of this vineyard beautifully and brings full-bodied richness and a lush, opulent, yet still balanced and elegant mouthfeel on the palate. It’s beautifully done and has enough tannins to keep it evolving nicely for 20+ years if you’re so inclined, although there’s no need to delay gratification. – JD

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Nomad Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper leaps with redcurrant jelly, kirsch and Black Forest cake notes, plus hints of bouquet garni and lilacs. Medium to full-bodied, firm and lively in the mouth, it is laden with muscular fruit, finishing long and lifted. – LPB
