The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon T6 offers more minerality as well as a touch of iron and black olive along with impressive red and black fruits, full body, and a beautiful elegance with time in the glass. It’s another brilliant vintage, and it’s worth noting that the Old Sparky release is pulled largely from a selection of this cuvée. – JD
This pulls in the full Oakville spectrum nicely, with a polished, loamy structure carrying a large-scaled core of steeped plum, boysenberry compote and cassis flavors, while a backdrop of violet, sweet bay leaf and sassafras add range and contrast. The finish has power but maintains purity, with the fruit ringing out the longest in the end. Best from 2024 through 2040. 475 cases made. – JM
