2019 Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard
Wine Spectator 91 Points
April 2023

An open-knit, expressive Cabernet, showing a core of açaí, plum and boysenberry, while sweet red licorice, toast and fruitcake fill in through the finish. Drink now through 2032. 300 cases made. – JM

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard comes from five different blocks in this larger vineyard. It's an incredible, classic 2019 offering savory, herbal dark fruits, tobacco, and spice notes as well as fullbodied richness and depth on the palate. I love its freshness, and it has ultra-fine tannins, no hard edges, and a great finish. It's going to shine for 20-25 years if properly stored. – JD

Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has a deep garnet-purple color. Vibrant notes of kirsch, Black Forest cake and warm cassis leap from the glass, followed by nuances of lavender, wild thyme and fertile loam. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has firm, grainy tannins and bags of freshness to support the rich, black fruits, accented by beautiful savory sparks, finishing long and mineral tinged. – LPB

Classic, Bordeaux-like notes of dark fruits, green tobacco, chocolate, and lead pencil dominate the bouquet of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. With full-bodied richness, it has a rounded, layered texture, a good spine of acidity, ripe yet certainly present tannins, and just this classic, balanced Cabernet Sauvignon profile. My money is on it benefiting from short-term bottle age. – JD
