In contrast, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras La Verdad is more reserved and backward, with an incredible sense of minerality in its dark fruits, chocolate, tobacco, and Pauillac-like lead pencil aromas and flavors. It's one of the few wines from Las Piedras that has reminded me of a wine from the Dr. Crane Vineyard. Full-bodied on the palate, dense, structured, and lengthy, it's a brilliant wine, but patience will be required. – JD
