The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy is just about as good as it gets, delivering a full-bodied, deep, rich, powerful style. Plenty of kirsch and ripe currant and blackberry fruits as well as textbook Oakville iron, black olive, and tobacco emerge on the nose, and it has a seamless mouthfeel, plenty of building tannins, and a heavenly finish. This pure, all-American, hedonistic yet balanced beauty could come from nowhere else. It has another 20-25 years of longevity. – JD
