2018 Vice Versa Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane is another heavenly wine from this estate. Coming from unquestionably one of the great terroirs in the valley, its dense purple color is followed by a blockbuster array of smoky blackcurrants, chocolate, smoke tobacco, violets, truffle, and damp earth. This rich, full-bodied, opulent Cabernet has a stacked, layered mid-palate, building, ripe tannins, no hard edges, and just flawless integration and balance. It already offers pleasure, yet do your best to hide bottles for 4-5 years. It should cruise in cold cellars for 2- 3 decades. – JD

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard displays a deep purple-black color and an intense perfume of blueberry preserves, boysenberries, clove oil and blackcurrant pastilles, with underlying hints of Indian spices, sandalwood, tilled soil and forest floor. The densely packed, full-bodied palate explodes with black and blue fruit preserves flavors, accented by a whole array of exotic spices and incense sparks and framed with a solid line of grainy tannins, finishing with epic length and a lively lift. Decadently delicious. – LPB
