2018 Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard
Wine Spectator 93 Points
June 2021

Juicy and fresh, with an open feel to the mix of cassis, plum and boysenberry puree flavors. Light anise and fruitcake hints dart through the finish, and there's a subtle apple wood frame for form. Very solid. Drink now through 2030. 375 cases made. – JM

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and sporting a deep purple-black color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard charges out of the gate with bright, bold scents of black raspberries, fresh blackcurrants and ripe blackberries with nuances of violets, cedar chest, sandalwood and menthol plus a touch of beef drippings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with bright, lively black fruit, framed by fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and earthy. – LPB

There are roughly 300 cases of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard, a gorgeous, layered, complete wine. Loaded with ripe, spice-laced black fruits, smoked tobacco, damp earth, and chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. This is as classy as it gets. – JD

Pure crème de cassis, white flowers, crushed violets, and graphite notes all emerge from the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard, which comes from a large valley floor vineyard in Rutherford. It’s a more structured, full-bodied, beautifully layered 2018 that has building tannins as well as remarkable purity. – JD
