Wine reviews
Very inviting, with lush plum and blackberry compote flavors swirling through, packed with additional black licorice, fruitcake and bramble notes, before showing a loam and sweet bay leaf edge on the broad finish. The vivid fruit takes an encore at the end. Best from 2022 through 2036. 188 cases made. – JM
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is another more than noteworthy wine in the lineup. Lots of classic Cabernet notes of darker currants, damp earth, chocolate, and tobacco notes give way to a full-bodied wine that has lots of richness and depth while staying nicely balanced and light on its feet. It builds nicely with time in the glass, and while not a true blockbuster, it shines for its classic character and overall balance. It's beautifully done and is going to evolve for 20-25 years. – JD
