2018 Boich Family Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard
Wine Spectator Insider 93 Points
April 2021

Dense, with lots of dark plum, warmed fig and cassis notes melded together, laced with alder, mesquite and sweet bay leaf and carried by a well-embedded iron spine on the finish. This has some serious grip, so best to give it a little time. Best from 2022 through 2034. 300 cases made. – J.M

Up next, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard brings more exuberance and up-front character, offering beautiful notes of red and black currants, blueberries, spring flowers, toasty oak, violets, and incense-like aromas and flavors. Playing in the medium to full-bodied end of the spectrum, this pure, elegant, balanced 2018 shows the vintage's style to a T and has polished tannins as well as a great finish. It can be drunk today with incredible pleasure or cellared for 15-20 years if you're so inclined. – JD
