Crème de cassis, tobacco, forest floor, and earthy nuances all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium to full-bodied,with beautiful balance, ripe tannins, and a great finish. – JD
A beautiful expression from this site, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard reveals a deeper purple/plum color to go with classic darker currants, tobacco, lavender, chocolate, and leafy herb aromas and flavors. It's rich and full-bodied, with a plush mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. There's plenty of up-front charm here, but it has lots of underlying tannins as well, and I suspect it is going to see its 20th birthday in fine form. – JD
