A barrel selection from this historic site made by winemaker Mike Smith, the dense purple-hued 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard Pangkarra is cut from the same cloth as the single vineyard release yet has a more backward, focused style that's going to benefit from bottle age. Beautiful cassis fruits, notes of camphor, scorched earth, graphite, and espresso, full-bodied richness, and seamless tannins as well as a gorgeous mouthfeel all make for an incredibly compelling Napa Cabernet. Give bottles 4-5 years in the cellar if you can, and it's going to keep for 20-25 years or more! – JD
