2018 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 100 Points
November 2020

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard hits the ground running with flamboyant scents of baked black cherries, mulberries and crème de cassis plus suggestions of Chinese five spice, damp soil, mossy tree bark and tobacco with a waft of bay leaves. The palate is decadently dense with a concentrated, full-bodied black fruit core and a frame of very firm, ripe, grainy tannins, finishing long and refreshingly lifted. Classic To Kalon at its best! – LPB

The dense purple/blue-hued 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard has classic To Kalon sexiness in its red, blue, and black fruits as well huge incense, dried flower, spice, and chocolate aromas and flavors. More broad and expansive than the Dr. Crane release, it's full-bodied, rounded, and again, just one sexy expression of this terroir and vintage. Enjoy bottles any time over the coming 20-25 years. - JD
