Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Nomad Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane gives fragrant cassis, plums and blueberry preserves with violets, earth and bay leaves suggestions. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers pretty perfumed black fruit in mouth with firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and savory. – LPB

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, from a great site in St. Helena, is deep purple and has rocking notes of blackcurrants, chocolate, tobacco leaf, and damp, gravelly earth. It shows the more linear, straight style of the vintage yet has beautiful purity of fruit, ripe tannins, and just everything in the right place. It's a stunning wine. – JD
