Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Nomad Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III gives prunes, baked black cherries and crème de cassis and Chinese five spice with hints of dried mint, dark chocolate, mocha and damp soil with a waft of truffles. The palate is full-bodied, firm and chewy with a good core of spicy fruit, finishing long. – LPB
This famous, larger valley floor site has produced a beautiful 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard that shines in the vintage. Rocking levels of blue fruits, tobacco, violets, and hints of spring flowers all emerge from the glass, and it's beautifully balanced, elegant, and lightly textured on the palate. It doesn't have the deepest mid-palate, but it should drink well for 10-15 years with no issues. – JD
