2017 Arrow & Branch Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 94 Points
December 2019

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard contains 5% Petit Verdot and was aged 20 months in 75% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it comes charging out of the glass with bold notions of blackberry pie, crème de cassis and black cherry compote plus hints of cigar box, iron ore, lilacs and fragrant soil. Full-bodied, the palate has both richness and elegance, with a fine-grained texture and tons of freshness on the finish. – LPB

Reminding me of a great vintage of La Mission Haut Brion, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard offers a stunning bouquet of blackcurrants, tobacco, gravelly earth, chocolate, and lead pencil. Just pure class, with full body, ultra-fine tannins, and awesome purity and elegance, it's a stunning achievement in 2017. It’s going to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and cruise in cool cellars for over two decades. – JD
