2017 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 92 Points
October 2019

Very deep purple-black in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard reveals notions of warm cassis, Black Forest cake, mulberries and stewed plums with suggestions of bay leaves, unsmoked cigars and black olives plus a touch of chargrill. Full-bodied, the palate is taut, muscular and firmly structured with a chewy texture and lovely backbone freshness, finishing with a compelling herbal lift. – LPB

Ripe, lively and focused, with an energizing savory streak amid the red and black currant and damson plum fruit flavors. A subtle tobacco note along the edge and a flash of minerality add range on the finish. Best from 2021 through 2032. – J.M

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is stunning. Rocking notes of crème de cassis, flowery incense, Asian spice, hints of chocolate, and violets all flow to a medium to full-bodied wine that has a beautiful texture, no hard edges, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's another elegant, seamless wine yet still shows classic To Kalon character. - JD
