2016 Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD
Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard

Another heavenly wine from this estate is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard which comes from a famous valley floor site in Rutherford. Its deep, inky color is followed by a mammoth display of blackcurrants, white chocolate, dried flowers, lavender, and cassis. Possessing full-bodied richness, an uber-sexy, seamless texture, no hard edges, and a rockingly long finish, it’s an awesome wine I’d be thrilled to drink over the coming 15-20 years, if not longer. – JD

Big and broad, with layers of fig, boysenberry and blackberry compote rolling through, inlaid with roasted apple wood details and backed by a bramble note. Features juicy grip and solid drive. Best from 2020 through 2030. 185 cases made. – JM

Deep purple-black in color, the 2016 Nomad Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III is just a tad youthfully reticent to begin, soon unfurling to offer a glorious array of warm black cherries, black raspberries and cassis scents with touches of lilacs, fragrant earth, ground pepper and tree bark. The palate is full-bodied with a rock-solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and background freshness supporting the generous, earth-laced black fruits, finishing very long and earthy. – LPB
