The finest wine made to date from this personal label of Benoit Touquette, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras is a borderline perfect effort that has awesome notes of creme de cassis, toasted spices, graphite, lavender, and dried tobacco. Possessing beautiful gravelly minerality, full body, a layered, multi dimensional texture, and a big finish, it's a thrill a minute, evolving and offering new layers every time I came back to the glass. It has the purity and balance of the vintage front and center and will keep for 20-30 years. – JD
