Coming from one of the great vineyards in the valley and all clone 337 of Cabernet, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard boasts a saturated purple color and a seriously hedonistic, full-bodied, sexy profile laced with notions of sweet plums, black raspberries, lavender, fruit cake, and hints of licorice. While a rich, opulent effort, it has notable tannins, a silky, weightless texture, and a huge finish. In short, it’s a textbook example of To Kolan. Drink this killer wine over the coming 20 years or more. – JD
