Wine reviews
Brought up 92% new French oak and from a gem of a valley floor site, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Blind Justice Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard boasts a decadent bouquet of black fruits, scorched earth, graphite, and gravelly minerality. It's powerful, concentrated, and locked and loaded on the palate, and it's one of the more structured, tannic wines in the lineup from the Bounty Hunter team. Nevertheless, it's almost off the charts with its potential. I followed this bottle for multiple days and it only impressed more and more with air. Give bottles 3-5 years and it's going to cruise for 2-3 decades. – JD
Deep purple-black colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Blind Justice Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard reveals a nose of crème de cassis, baked black cherries and plum preserves with touches of Chinese five spice, garrigue, incense and dusty soil. Full-bodied, rich and boldly fruited, the palate gives tons of spicy accents and a firm, grainy frame, finishing on a lingering peppery note. – LPB
