From a great valley floor site just outside of Yountville, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper is both deeper and more layered, with thrilling notes of blackcurrants, tobacco leaf, incense, iron, and dried flowers. This voluptuous, sexy beast of a wine has beautiful tannin quality, a rounded, opulent texture, and fine tannins, and it comes together beautifully on the finish. As with the Moulds Reserve release, it has considerable upfront charm and accessibility, yet is going to age beautifully. Bravo! – JD
