A barrel sample, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is deep purple-black in color and gives up notes of Black Forest cake, redcurrant jelly, fresh blackcurrants and warm plums with touches of garrigue, black olives and lavender. The palate is full-bodied with a firm frame of grainy tannins and just enough freshness supporting the muscular, savory layers, finishing with an herbal lift. – LPB
