2015 Purlieu Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 96-100 Points
December 2016

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Missouri Hopper has gorgeously sweet, ripe blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, some licorice, incense, and a touch of lead pencil shavings. A floral note also enters the picture of this incredibly complex, rich, multi-dimensional wine that is built like a skyscraper. It is another amazing effort from Purlieu that should drink well for 25-30 years.-RP

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer-Missouri Hopper shows the pedigree of this site in its layered, sensual feel. Sumptuous and rich on the palate, the 2015 also has a good deal of freshness, especially within the context of the year. The dark red cherry, plum, lavender and spice notes are beautifully sketched. Silky tannins add to the wine’s sheer appeal. – Antonio Galloni

Inky purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Missouri Hopper has intense cassis, blackberries and warm plums notions on the nose with a vast mélange of Chinese five spice, chargrill, cigar box, menthol and licorice suggestions. Full-bodied, rich, ripe and opulent, it has a solid frame of velvety tannins and well-played freshness, finishing long and earthy. – LPB
