2015 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 96 Points
October 2017

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper reveals a very deep garnet-purple color and enticingly savory earthy/meaty/gamey notions over a somewhat broody core of black fruits, tar, tree bark and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, tightly wound and muscular in the mouth, it has a gregarious fragrant earth character supported by firm, grainy tannins and a racy line, finishing long and minerally. – LPB

Like its 2014 counterpart, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard is a blockbuster beauty that does everything right. From a great valley floor site in Oakville that’s just to the south of To Kalon, it offers a deep purple/plum color as well as backward, concentrated notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, toasty oak, graphite and tobacco leaf. Deep, opulent and full-bodied, it’s perfectly balanced on the palate, has good acidity, building tannin and a great finish. Give bottles 3-5 years of cellaring and enjoy over the following two decades or more. - JD
