2014 Purlieu Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard
Wine Advocate 94-96 Points
December 2015

Drink it over the next 15 years. Lastly, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper has an inky purple color, gorgeously sweet tannin, a multilayered mouthfeel with plenty of blueberry and blackberry fruit, white flowers and an opulent, voluptuous texture. This is sensationally sexy stuff to drink now and over the next 15 or more years. It's hard to make a more juicy, up-front style that is so appealing. Drink now-2030.-RP

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper is a candidate for perfection. Truly compelling wine, with a dark bluish purple color and an extraordinary nose of burning embers, scorched earth, blackberry and cassis, this multi-layered, skyscraper-like wine has an unctuous texture, remarkable concentration of fruit, and a long finish with lavish fruit extract covering moderately intense tannins. Its purity, complexity and overall intensity are something to behold. This can be drunk now or cellared for another 25 years.-RP
