Wine reviews
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard has beautiful fruit, and again a strong effort in 2014. Like most 2014s, it’s endearing, charming, loaded up front, but this one has more backbone, depth and reserve. This should turn out to be pretty spectacular wine. Drink 2018-2035.- RP
There are 325 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. This is an opaque purple wine with notes of incense, charcoal embers, blueberry and blackberry fruit, a touch of subtle background oak and sweet, velvety tannin in a full-bodied, super-rich intense wine that, in short, is utterly delicious! Drink it over the next 15-20 years.- RP
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard is a deeper, richer example of the base Napa Valley release and offers fabulous notes of blackcurrants, graphite, charcoal and licorice. It’s a big, sexy beast of a Cabernet that has full-bodied power, a ripe, unctuous texture, and sweet tannin which are completely cover by fruit at the moment. Drink it anytime over the coming two decades. – JD
