The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon To Kalon Lithology is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon clone 4 from that famous first-growth site. Opaque purple, it offers up notes of lead pencil shavings, crème de cassis, cedar wood and fruitcake, followed by a blockbuster, rich, concentrated mouthfeel with exceptional density, sweet tannin and a long, 45- to 50-second finish. It is a beauty to drink over the next two decades.-RP
Distinctive for the minty chocolate brownie character, this is a rich, expansive expression of dark berry and mocha flavors, shaded by cedary oak and finishing with firm, fine-grained tannins. Best from 2019 through 2030. 403 cases made. – J.L.
