Even better that the estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the fabulous, full-bodied 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Duration, which includes 10% Cabernet Franc. The resulting complex notes of forest floor, spring flower, blueberry and blackberry are intermixed with hints of asphalt, licorice and new oak. Drink 2015-2028. Former Russian Olympic and professional hockey player Valeri Bure has hired Luc Morlet to fashion these 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvées from cuttings from the Margaux clone (which is also present in the Bosché Vineyard of Freemark Abbey). The Estate wine comes from St. Helena, the Duration from the Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper and To Kalon vineyards, and the Thirteen is from St. Helena. The 2012s and 2013s are very impressive wines, possessing both complexity and richness. -RP
