The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon displays the graphite, cassis and floral notes one expects from this great site. Supple in the mouth, lighter than expected, but still very well balanced, easygoing and accessible (one of the positive attributes of the top 2011s), this charming Cabernet is perfect for near-term drinking. Enjoy it over the next 8-10 years. - RP

Very ripe, with pleasant aromas of violet and plum, this quickly turns tannic and firm midpalate. Scents of ripe blackberry, wild berry, roasted herb, mocha and cedar fill in. This offers a rich mix of flavors despite the tannins. Best from 2015 through 2024. 170 cases made. –JL
