Slightly beefier is the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer George III Vineyard. The fruit from this site was one of the component parts of the old BV Private Reserve Georges de Latour Cabernet and is considered to be one of the finest vineyards in Rutherford. This dense ruby/purple-colored 2011 offers notes of sweet mulberries, black cherries, red and black currants, smoke and underbrush. A deep, medium-bodied, ripe, attractively textured wine, it, too, should drink well for a decade. - RP
