The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Anniversary Cuvee covers every inch of the palate. Mocha, espresso, tar, plums, smoke all come together in a Cabernet Sauvignon that pushes To Kalon to the edge of ripeness. This is the richest, and most explosive wine in Tor’s 2010 lineup, yet at times it comes across as overly heavy and forced. The 2010 is 50% clone 337 and 50% clone 6 from a plot that has since been replanted. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. - AG
Wow, it's not often you come across a Cabernet that is this classy. It displays gorgeous notes of fresh ripe black cherries, mixed dark berries, fresh minerals and dried herbs. This shows amazing depth, structure and precision with an endless finish. Absolutely love the elegance and purity this wine brings. (Drink 2014-2026)
The aromatics are teasing, the flavors more reserved. Still, there's no denying the intensity and density of the blackberry, spice and red and black licorice notes at the core. Ends with assertive tannins and should reward with cellaring. Best from 2014 through 2024. 150 cases made. - JL
