2010 Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 93 Points
October 2013

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard exhibits wet pebble, blueberry and cassis notes, a broad mouthfeel, full body, sweet tannin, and hints of blue and black fruits as well as acacia flowers. Rich, layered and impressive, it should drink well for 15-20 years. - RP

Rich, heady aromatics of blackberry, cedar, black licorice and spice lead off in this full-bodied, intense and wellbuilt red, with firm and well-proportioned tannins. Drink now through 2022. 165 cases made. –J.L.

With the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard Myriad succeeds in expressing their rich, voluptuous style while avoiding the excess heaviness found in some of the other wines in the lineup. Raspberry jam, freshly cut flowers and sweet spices are all woven together nicely in this intensely perfumed, articulate Cabernet Sauvignon. Layers of super-ripe red fruit run through the racy finish. This is a terrific effort from Myriad. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. Mike and Leah Smith’s Myriad Cellars is an up and coming winery worth keeping an eye on. Mike Smith also makes the wines at Carter. I have every reason to think he will establish the same level of quality here. -AG
