2010 Myriad Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard
Wine Advocate 92 Points
December 2012

A warm, open bouquet leads to layers of dark fruit in the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III (F Block), a wine that impresses for its soft, supple personality and inner resonance. I especially like the way the aromatics and flavors play off each other. Plums, Chambord, leather and spices are layered into the generous finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. Mike and Leah Smith’s Myriad Cellars is an up and coming winery worth keeping an eye on. Mike Smith also makes the wines at Carter. I have every reason to think he will establish the same level of quality here. -AG

Intense and vibrant, with a chewy mix of dark berry, licorice, dried herb, roasted coffee and savory notes, ending with extracted tannins and good length. Very tannic. Drink now through 2022.—J.L.

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III Vineyard offers glorious aromas of blueberries, plum sauce and spring flowers followed by similar, equally majestic flavors. This profound Cabernet Sauvignon demonstrates what a great terroir Rutherford’s Georges III Vineyard is. - RP
