The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon is a cool, inward wine, but even at this early stage, it’s hard not to see the immense promise of what is in the glass. Mint, violets and blackberries are some of the nuances that gradually emerge as the wine sits in the glass. The 2010 boasts striking inner perfume and fabulous balance, especially in its elegant, refined tannins. Smoke and tar lend an exotic air to the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2015- 2025.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color as well as a glorious nose of blackberries, crème de cassis, licorice, gun flint and a touch of acacia flowers. Rich with nicely integrated oak, plenty of structure and tannin, much of which is concealed by the extravagant fruit quality, this beauty should age handsomely for 10-15+ years - RP
