Big, rich and expressive, with a broad range of complex, mouthcoating flavors built around ripe currant, black cherry and dark red fruits. Finishes with a long, persistent aftertaste and a touch of heat. Yet this is notably elegant and polished for a wine this size. Best from 2008 through 2015. 130 cases made. – J. L
