2003 Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard
Wine Spectator 90 Points
October 2006

Racy blackberry and wild berry flavors teeter on overripe, but the wine stays in balance, turning elegant, supple and graceful on the finish. Not in the same class as Hobbs’ 2002s, yet successful nonetheless, achieving an appropriate balance. Drink now through 2012. 185 cases made. – JL

From a St. Helena vineyard, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Crane Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) boasts tremendous fruit and ripeness along with hints of graphite, espresso roast, blackberries, crème de cassis, and spice. This rich, concentrated, prodigious effort should be enjoyed between 2008-2020+. (release date 9/06)
