Wine reviews
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper sings of stewed red and black plums, crème de cassis and wild blueberries, plus suggestions of violets, dusty soil and wild sage. Full-bodied, laden with flavors and solidly structured, the palate delivers taut, muscular black fruits and lots of earthy nuances on the long finish. A classic, stunning expression of Missouri Hopper! – LPB
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard has a Graves-like bouquet of darker currants, smoked tobacco, cold fireplace, and chocolate. This carries to a full-bodied Cabernet that has a great mid-palate, plenty of ripe tannins, and a great finish. This valley floor site always yields a darker, classic style of Cabernet, and this beauty will benefit from short-term cellaring and keep for 15-20 years. – JD
