2018 Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard
Wine Spectator 94 Points
August 2021

A big wine, this red is densely packed with boysenberry reduction, fig compote and blackberry preserve flavors that are wrapped in licorice snap and sassafras notes. There's a rumble of tannin, but it's coated with fruit, while a roasted apple wood note adds another detail on the finish. Best from 202 through 2036. 120 cases made. – JM

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Nomad Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard is another balanced, complete, incredibly satisfying wine from this team. Giving up lots of red and black fruits as well as notes of dried tobacco, new leather, chocolate, and some earthy nuances, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Give bottles just a handful of years in the cellar and enjoy over the following 10-15 years. – JD
