2018 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon
Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard
The Wine Advocate 95 Points
November 2020

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III display a deep garnet-purple color, slipping seductively out of the glass with scents of plum preserves, warm cassis and baked black cherries plus hints of cardamom, pencil lead, underbrush and clove oil. Chock-full of ripe, rich black fruits, the full-bodied palate delivers loads of savory accents to lift the decadent flavors, framed by firm, grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long and earthy. – LPB

Darker currants, tobacco leaf, iodine, and earth all emerge from the glass of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. A rich, full-bodied Cabernet, it has a supple, rounded mouthfeel, ripe, silky tannins, and a more soft, plush style than what's common in the vintage. Nevertheless, it gains freshness and elegance as it sits in glass and is just a complex, balanced, satisfying 2018 to enjoy over the coming two decades. - JD
