The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III emerges from the glass with blackberries, blueberries, tar and spices. There is an element of smokiness that works quite well with the dark flavor profile. This is another superripe, opulent wine from Alpha Omega. The oak is a little better integrated than in the Stagecoach. I especially like the way the fruit fleshes out on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2021.
