Wine reviews
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon George III Vineyard offers up slightly more acidity, plenty of dark kirsch liqueur rather than blackberry, some loamy soil undertones, full body, and wonderful freshness and structure. This is a vibrant, vigorous example of George III that should drink beautifully for 25-30 or more years.-RP Kudos to Purlieu Wines for these great efforts.
Deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon George III Vineyard is a little broody at this youthful stage, opening out to a complex array of earthy/savory aromas, including notes of smoked meats, tar and fertile loam, with a crème de cassis and blueberry compote core and touches of aniseed, sautéed herbs and rose hip tea. Full-bodied and laden with loads of subtle earth, meat and spice nuances complementing the black and blue fruits, it has firm, grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and layered. – LPB
