2018 Stewart Cabernet Sauvignon NOMAD
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
Wine Spectator 94 Points
August 2021

Showy, with melted black licorice and Black Forest cake notes, draped over a core of densely packed blackberry, fig and black currant preserve flavors. Loam, cedar and sage fill in on the muscular finish. A bit of a brute now, but everything is in proportion, so if you like the style, just cellar a bit to let it round into form. Best from 2023 through 2036. 250 cases made. – JM

Cedar, earth and sage define the beginning of this grippy, powerful wine that exudes all the elegance and intensity of the site. Black cherry, black licorice and textured tannins balance the savory earthiness and edge. This will do well with more aging: enjoy from 2028-2033. Cellar Selection. – VB
